Huntlea Deluxe back seat car cover is a necessity for anyone travelling with their furry friends. This back seat cover protects your seats and car door panels from dirty, muddy and damp paws. The inside is Riptec material and the outside is a cationic material with a layer of padding in between to keep your dog comfortable and your seats clean. The Riptec top is waterproof, extremely durable and easy to keep clean. Heavy duty zips are used for the zip up side panels as well as durable webbing straps and adjustable clips hook around the front and back head rests to create a hammock like effect in the back seat of your car. Unzip the side pane and fold it down to allow your pet easy access into the back seat whilst protecting your car from sharp claws whilst climbing in. The cover has two large pockets sewn in to store all your necessary pet items. The cover folds up to fit into a neat storage cover provided. This doubles up as a sleeping mat for your dog or picnic blanket.

Brush off any dirt with a soft brush or wipe the cover with a damp cloth. If need be, quickly hose down with water and leave to line dry. If there is loose hair on the cover, we advise to vacuum it up. Do not Machine wash.

Very disappointing for the price

I bought this back-seat cover because I wanted something better and more secure for my two dogs. Unfortunately, it has been a complete disappointment.

I have two pitbull mixes, and the cover simply does not work properly with them. The fabric is very slippery, so they slide around when getting into the car and while I’m driving.

The bigger problem is the straps. I tighten everything properly when I put the cover in, but as soon as the dogs move around, the front of the cover slips down and the cover sags badly into the gap between the front and rear seats. I then have to stop and readjust it. The side panels are also supposed to remain upright to create a protected, box-like area, but as the cover sags down the sides collapse inward as soon as the dogs move, leaving the car doors completely exposed.

I contacted the company to ask whether I was installing it incorrectly, whether the cover was too large for my Kia Sonet, or whether this was simply how the product is designed. I received no response.

For R1,800, I expected a product that would actually stay securely in place while the dogs are travelling. I previously had a much cheaper back-seat cover that cost around R500, and it worked considerably better.

Very disappointing, especially given the price. I would not recommend this product.

The product is awesome, I love it

Lab(rador) tested under high stress conditions

This product was put through its paces by two labs. They thought out the most strenuous stress tests for the product before giving it a two paws up review. These included rolling in mud pools before doing 360 wheelies in the back seat, having a full blown rave party when their nemesis arrived at the dog park (poor poodle still doesn't know why it is public enemy number one) and even halted an attempt to disembark the vehicle before being instructed to do so due to its high sides. The cover has saved the leather interior countless times and has basically paid for itself. No other cover compares, from temu to fancy-smancy, do not waste your time this is the cover for you (and your fur-devils).

This is my 3'rd cover and the best by far, the others have all broken.
